



SilPower is a low density ceramic made of 99.95% pure silica fibers.
SilPower is the most efficient infra-red reflective board allowing furnaces manufacturers to offer immediate significant energy savings to their customers. Moreover, SilPower reflectors unlike other reflectors which get corroded over the time retain its properties intact. It reduces the final user maintenance costs thus allowing further savings during all the furnace life.
This high level of performance is achieved thanks to the raw material used i.e. Quartzel® ultra-pure fibers which confers to SilPower reflectors a diffuse reflection when other ceramic or metallic alternative offer a specular reflection only.
SilPower is the preferred material for near infra-red vacuum furnaces where gold gets eroded after some time. Similarly it can be used in a large range of wave length including UV or Visible light reflector.
SilPower is a high performance insulating material resisting up to 1200°C. Due to its chemical nature and purity, it is more and more often selected for the thermal insulation in semiconductor or silicon converting processes as well as for all thermal treatments performed in a chemically aggressive environment.
Lastly, SilPower is inheriting of Quartzel unchallenged dielectric performance whatever the temperature of the frequencies. It allows microwave or induction furnaces manufacturer to obtain maximum radio-transparency and their customers to enjoy an unsurpassed performance.
SilPower is machinable. Saint-Gobain Quartz can supply either blanks or finished parts.
